Well that’s what friends are for silly! -shakes her head playfully and smile- Someone has had to tell you that you were smart before I did. I’m sure Vince has said it to you at least once before.
Vince and I… We used to date before, though… for a long time. He pretty much saw me through rose-colored glasses, so of course I looked perfect and smart to him. [Smirks a bit] Sorry, I’m getting carried away.

-giggles and smiles brighter- See that’s how you have to look at it, otherwise it doesn’t sound like a good thing and it really is something to be proud of, even if you don’t show it.
Oh, I guess so. I’m just not that proud of a person, though, so I often overlook things… [Smiles a bit more weakly now, raking a hand through his probably-messy hair]

I’ve known him since we were seven! [Looks proud] He’s super smart, way smarter than me. [Chuckles] I guess being observant does make me at least a little smart, just not bookish.

I’m Muggleborn, so I’m not all that attached. I didn’t even accept my being a wizard until I got to Hogwarts with my best friend… you may know Vince. [Smiles and shakes his head] I’m not smart at all, really. I’m just really observant.

Sometimes I do, but sometimes I don’t… Magic can make you really dependent. [Nods slowly] I know it would help me, but I always feel like it would hurt me, too.

Well you wouldn’t really be a Squib. You’re still magical. -blushes at how that sounds- I uh just mean that if you had a wand you could still do magic, unlike a Squib.
I know… I have a wand, but I’m really bad at magic. [Manages a small, meek smile] It’s pretty embarrassing, really, but I can sometimes get the basics right.

Ah, cool. I dropped out long ago, but I was in Gryffindor… I only made it to fifth year, and now it’s like I’m a Squib, honestly. [Shrugs]
